"Sit With Me For Awhile" is an original 30x20" oil painting of Salida, CO. 
 
“Sit With Me For Awhile” is my newest painting that captures more than a single moment. It captures the passing of time within this 30x20” painting. When describing my artwork it is easy to say that I capture movement with paint, and I indeed had a lot of fun painting the movement in the rippled clouds or the sway of the grass, expressed in this painting. Yet, I wanted to convey a new realm of movement on this canvas and tackle the movement within time. On the right side of the painting expresses a late afternoon. While on the left side of the painting captures the early evening once the sun has set. I love sitting in nature for so long that I become part of the landscape. Watching the sun dance across the sky, and listening to the soft sounds of nature that fill the air. It fuels my soul, and I hope it soothes yours.
